Hair Colorist 

 

Role Description

The Mona Cut studio is looking for a Hair Colorist who will take on the journey of being the first in the studio to provide coloring services. Someone who is passionate about community and can relate to the founder, Mona Baltazar’s, mission statement.  Ideal candidate is adaptable and eager to learn new techniques as well as build clientele.  The Mona Cut studio is looking to fill this position in early 2022.

Responsibilities & Overview 

• Must have a role in The Mona Cut culture not only inside of the studio but outside 

• Provide consultation and advice for clientele looking to color their hair

• Maintain strong relationships with clientele to build loyalty

• Team player who is open to growth opportunities within The Mona Cut 

• Must have a broad range of knowledge about hair color​

• Open to training and learning how to work with textured hair 

• NYC experience is not required 

 

Candidate: Requirements

• 3+ years of coloring experience 

• Must be Licensed (doesn’t have to be in NYC but must be transferable)

Assistant Stylist 

 

Role Description

The Mona Cut studio is looking for an Assistant Stylist who would like to join a growing and enthused team. Someone who is passionate about community and can relate to the founder, Mona Baltazar’s, mission statement.  Ideal candidate is someone who is willing to train, learn, and implement The Mona Cut’s patented styling techniques as well as adapt to the studio’s culture and clientele. The Mona Cut studio is looking to fill this position in early 2022.

• Work with lead stylist to learn how to achieve customer’s desired look 

• Explain the best ways to maintain hair health and why it’s important 

• Maintain strong relationships with clientele to build loyalty

• Open to training and learning how to work with textured hair

• Adaptable and eager to constantly learn new techniques 

• Assist the team along with daily duties and responsibilities in the studio.

 

Candidate: Requirements

• 2+ years of chair experience 

• Must be Licensed  (doesn’t have to be in NYC but must be transferable)
